Welcome to my blog!
I’m a civil engineer from Myanmar with over 20 years of experience in building and infrastructure construction. I graduated from Yangon Technological University (YTU) in 2004 and have worked on a wide range of projects — from residential and commercial buildings to industrial parks, roads, and jetties. I am also a Professional Engineer (PE Construction) in Myanmar Engineering Council (MEngC).

This blog is where I share practical civil engineering knowledge, construction tips, quality control experience, and lessons learned from real project sites. My goal is to help young engineers and site supervisors gain practical understanding and grow in their careers.

I mainly write in Myanmar language, but some posts will be bilingual. I hope this platform becomes a useful civil engineering knowledge hub for many.

 Rebar Test Report ကိုနားလည်စေရန် (သံချောင်းလုံးတွေ size ပြည့်မပြည့်၊ strength ပြည့်မပြည့် စိတ်ချရတဲ့ 3rd party lab တွေမှာစစ်ဆေးဖို့ သင့်သလို ရရှိလာတဲ့ test report တွေကိုလည်း သိရှိ နားလည်ဖို့ လိုပါတယ်။ ငလျင်ကြီး ကြုံတွေ့ခံစားရပြီးနောက် သံချောင်းလုံးရဲ့ အရေးကြီးပုံကို အင်ယာတွေ၊ ဆောက်လုပ်ရေးလောကကသူတွေ ပိုမို ဂရုပြု အာရုံစိုက်လာကြမယ်လို့ထင်ပါတယ်။) Client / Authority လိုအပ်ချက်အရ Rebar တွေကို 3rd party laboratory မှာ Testing ပြုလုပ်ကြပါတယ်။ Rebar ရဲ့ Strength test တွေအပြင် physical property ဖြစ်တဲ့ nominal diameter (size) နှင့် weight (lb/ft or Kg/m) တန်ဖိုးတွေကိုစစ်ဆေးပြီး Test report မှာထည့်သွင်းဖော်ပြကြပါတယ်။ Tensile Test Certificate Rebar အပ်တဲ့ Client name, Receiving and testing date, Rebar နဲ့ ပတ်သက်တဲ့ အချက်တွေ, testing method and reference standards တွေကို ဦးစွာဖော်ပြထားတယ်။ Nominal Diameter of Rebar Rebar ရဲ့ Rib မရှိတဲ့ နေရာမှာ Diameter ကိုတိုင်းတာပြီး Nominal diameter အဖြစ် ဖော်ပြတယ်။ မိမိ ၀ယ်ယူထားတဲ့ သံချောင်းလုံး size ဟာ Designer သတ်မှတ်တာနဲ့ ကိုက်ညီမှုရှိမရှိ သိရှိနိုင်တယ...

Rebar Tensile Strength and Yield Strength Ratio (fu/fy)

 Rebar တွေရဲ့ Tensile strength နှင့် Yield strength အချိုး (fu/fy) Rebar ကို laboratory မှာ testing လုပ်တဲ့အခါ Tensile strength နှင့် Bending strength စမ်းလေ့ရှိတယ်။ Tensile strength test ပြုလုပ်ပြီးနောက် Yield strength, tensile strength နှင့် Elongation တန်ဖိုးများကို  stress/strain curve နှင့်တကွ ဖော်ပြပြီး Test report ထုတ်ပေးပါသည်။ Tensile strength နှင့် Yield strength အချိုးကိုလည်း ဖော်ပြပေးထားပါသည်။ Rebar ရဲ့ Yield Strength(fy) ဆိုတာဘာလဲ Yield strength ဆိုတာ rebar ကို stress ပေးလိုက်လို့ stress တန်ဖိုးတစ်ခုမှာ rebar က ပုံစံစတင်ပျက်ယွင်းသွားတဲ့ stress တန်ဖိုးဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ တနည်း rebar က သူ့ရဲ့ ပုံစံမပျက်ယွင်းဘဲ အများဆုံးခံနိုင်တဲ့ stress ဟာ Yield strength ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Design တွက်ချက်မှုမှာ အဓိက သုံးစွဲတာ Yield strength တန်ဖိုးဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Tensile strength of Rebar(fu) Rebar ကို Yield strength ထက်ကျော်လွန်ပြီး အားထပ်ထည့်ဆွဲမယ်ဆိုရင် rebar ပုံပျက်ပေမယ့် ထပ်ဆွဲလို့ရသေးတယ်၊ အားတစ်ခုမှာတော့ rebar ဟာ ပြတ်ထွက်သွားတော့မယ်၊ အဲဒီ မပြတ်ခင်တန်ဖိုးကိုတော့ Tensile strength လို့ခေါ်ပါတယ်။ Ultima...
