Bored Pile Load Test (Equipment & Tools)

-Hydraulic Jack for vertical and lateral load apply

-Load cell (optional) for direct load measurements

-Pressure Gauge for measuring jack pressure (indirect load)

-Dial Gauges for measuring displacement

-LVDT (linear variation displacement transducer) for precise settlement/displacement readings

-Strain Gauges for measuring stress/force in pile

-Accelerometers for measuring pile acceleration (velocity)

-Steel reaction frame / Kentledge to transfer jack load to pile

-Hammer to apply impact load

-PDA (pile driving analyzer) measures force and velocity during hammer impact

☘️HPBC guidelines for Calibration

Bored Pile Load Test (Equipment & Tools)

The equipment and tools used for conducting Static Load Tests and Dynamic Load Tests are as follows.

-Hydraulic Jack for vertical and lateral load apply

-Load cell (optional) for direct load measurements

-Pressure Gauge for measuring jack pressure (indirect load)

-Dial Gauges for measuring displacement

-LVDT (linear variation displacement transducer) for precise settlement/displacement readings

-Strain Gauges for measuring stress/force in pile

-Accelerometers for measuring pile acceleration (velocity)

-Steel reaction frame / Kentledge to transfer jack load to pile

-Hammer to apply impact load

-PDA (pile driving analyzer) measures force and velocity during hammer impact

The above tools and equipment must be calibrated at certified calibration laboratories.

HPBC guidelines for Calibration

-When the entire system is calibrated for pile load testing, the use of a load cell is permitted but not mandatory.

-For load testing, the calibration of Load Cells, Hydraulic Jacks, Pressure Gauges & Pressure Transducers, Dial Gauges, and Linear Variation Displacement Transducers (LVDTs) must have been performed within the last six (6) months.
